The KSLU Intercollegiate Yoga Competition (Men and Women) Selection cum Trial 2025–2026 began with great enthusiasm on the 14th of October 2025, hosted by Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College under the association of Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi.

Day one: The registration for the event commenced at 8:00 a.m., with participants and officials from various law colleges arriving with eagerness and excitement. Total number of teams under the category of Men – 10 teams and Women – 13 teams, and total number of participants – 123

Before the formal inauguration, the fixtures for both the Men’s and Women’s categories were finalized and announced.

The Inaugural Ceremony began with an Opening Prayer, invoking God’s blessings, followed by a Bible Reading. A warm Welcome Address was then delivered by the Principal Prof. Dr. Indirani K S extending greetings to the dignitaries, faculty, and participants. The ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp by all the dignitaries marked the official commencement of the event. This was followed by the State Anthem, sung with pride and patriotism.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Vikas Rawat, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of yoga in fostering concentration, discipline, and mental peace. The Special Invitee, Dr. Khalid Khan, Director of Physical Education, KSLU, shared valuable insights on how yoga promotes overall well-being and mental stability. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. Devadas Sadu Associate Treasurer KCD, Vice Chairman Board of Management, who appreciated the host institution for organizing such a vibrant and meaningful event.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the Women’s Competition commenced with 13 teams participating, showcasing grace, synchronization, and balance in their performances. Later, the Men’s Selection Trials were conducted, featuring 32 participants competing with focus and determination.

The events were judged by a panel of five esteemed Referees: Adv. Sanjeev Kumar (Chief Referee), Ms. Yashwitha D C, Mr. Benak Raj, Mr. Nagabhushan Jagadish Banakar, Mr. Bharath whose expertise and fair evaluation ensured transparency and professionalism throughout the competition.

The first day concluded successfully with active participation, commendable performances, and a spirit of sportsmanship that truly reflected the essence of yoga — unity, discipline, and harmony.

The Day 2 of the Inter-Collegiate Yoga Competition day commenced with the Women’s Selection Trials featuring 48 participants followed by the Men’s competition featuring 10 teams. Each participant showcased remarkable strength, flexibility, and focus, reflecting their dedication to the art of yoga.

The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Mr. M. N. Madhusudhan, Advocate, Member of the Karnataka State Bar Council, and Academic Council Member, KSLU, as the Chief Guest. The prizes was announced by Ms. Gulab, Organising Secretary and distributed by the Chief Guest, along with Dr. Khalid Khan, Physical Director, KSLU, and Prof. Dr. Indirani K. S., Principal of Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Shalini T, Sports Captain, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and organizers for making the event a grand success.
